Bishop of Guastalla : ウィキペディア英語版
Diocese of Guastalla
The Italian Catholic diocese of Guastalla existed in the province of Reggio Emilia, from 1828 to 1986. It was then combined into the diocese of Reggio Emilia-Guastalla.〔(''Catholic Hierarchy'' page )〕
==History==

Guastalla formed part of the diocese of Reggio until 1471, when it became an archipresbyterate nullius. Pope Sixtus V (1583) gave it abbatial rank; it was only in 1828 that Leo XII, at the wish of Marie Louise, made it a bishopric, suffragan to the archdiocese of Modena.
Its first bishop was John Neuschel, a Hungarian abbot, and chaplain to the duchess. Among his successors were Monsignor Pietro Rota (1855-71), afterwards translated to Mantua.
